Welcome to JNS Tracks

Welcome to the official home of the JNS Tracks made for rFactor. This site will continue to handle everything to do with the making of our tracks for rFactor. Our league has been  transfered and will be administered by TCRG as outlined below.

JNS Online Racing League and TCRG.INFO have decided to combine forces and keep up the fun racing tradition that JNS Online drivers have enjoyed since 2001. JNSTracks.net will continue to be the place for rFactor SCE tracks.

The merging of JNS Online Racing League and TCRG.INFO presents many benefits. Because the current racing format of the TCRG.INFO rFactor SCE Championship is similar to JNS Online, JNS Online drivers will continue to enjoy the same fun race format. The addition of JNS Online drivers to TCRG.INFO will enable TGRG.INFO to better serve its community of drivers preferring a fun race format and drivers preferring hardcore racing. The merge will also enable Joe Evans, the current administrator of JNSTracks to continue his great work on track development for rFactor SCE.

In addition to being a participating driver, Joe Evans will be joining the TCRG.INFO Board of Directors. Because of Joe's many years of sim racing and administration experience, TCRG.INFO administrators and race drivers will certainly benefit by Joe's membership to the Board of Directors at TCRG.INFO.

TCRG Welcomes JNS Online drivers! Visit http://www.tcrg.info for more information and signup for some great online racing.

JNSChicago Speedway Updated

By Joe Evans - Saturday June 28 2008 - 11:41:43
This track has been rebuilt and is a replacement for the current JNSChicago track included in our Cup Track Pack v1.1. The cup track pack v1.1 needs to be installed first before installing this track, if you’re already using the cup track pack v1.1 then just install this track and it will replace the necessary files. This track as well as a few others will be added to our last cup track pack release later this year.

Before installing this track please delete any HAT files that may be in your "rFactor\userdata\log\hat" folder. Now you can install this track by extracting the exe file from the downloaded zip file to a temp location on your system and double-click on it. Make any corrections that may be needed to the default game location shown (C:\Program Files\rFactor\) and click the unzip button.

Please read the included readme.txt file for more information.

JNS Cup Tracks Updated

By Joe Evans - Wednesday May 07 2008 - 10:13:38
All JNS CUP tracks have been updated to fix some issues and add overall improvements. We have also added replacement tracks for Charlotte, Texas, and Michigan. These tracks now have multiple grooves to enhance the racing. Darlington has a face lift to reflect the new repaving done at that track. The physics on all 2008 tracks have been adjusted to work better with SCE v.995+.

Patch v1.1
This patch will update all of the JNS CUP tracks from the first track pack to version 1.1. If you don't have track pack v1.0 then download the Track pack v1.1 instead of this patch. Install this patch by  extracting the exe file from the downloaded zip file to a temp location on your system and double-click on it. Make any corrections that may be needed to the default game location shown (C:\Program Files\rFactor\) and click the unzip button.
Track Pack Full v1.1
This pack contains all of the current cup style tracks. Install the track pack by  extracting the exe file from the downloaded zip file to a temp location on your system and double-click on it. Make any corrections that may be needed to the default game location shown (C:\Program Files\rFactor\) and click the unzip button.

Individual Cup Tracks
All tracks included in the track pack can be downloaded individually if you only need a few of tracks. Install the track by  extracting the exe file from the downloaded zip file to a temp location on your system and double-click on it. Make any corrections that may be needed to the default game location shown (C:\Program Files\rFactor\) and click the unzip button.

JNSTexas Speedway Updated

By Joe Evans - Monday March 31 2008 - 14:56:32
This is a completely updated JNSTexas track to replace the one included in the track pack. This track will be added to the Track Pack patch due out soon. Until then you can download this track and install it, it will replace the older track. This track now includes 3 grooves to allow a better racing experience.

These tracks should be considered fictional as they do not exactly duplicate any real world tracks. They can be substituted for real world tracks that these closely resemble.

In order to remain compatible with rFactor mods made before 2008 we had to use a different folder structure. Once the tracks are installed and you start the game you will now see a “2007 JNS Tracks” and a “2008 JNS Tracks” categories listed in your track list. Expand the category you need and all of the tracks in that category will show up. The 2007 tracks are better suited for use with the SCE .98, NSS and many other mods. The 2008 tracks are designed to be used with the SCE .99 and beyond.

The main difference between the 2007 and 2008 tracks is in the tracks physics, grip, tire heat and wear.  Either set of tracks can be used with any mods but results could be quite different, I suggest trying the different track sets and use what works best for you.In order to install these tracks and avoid conflicts with my older tracks you will need to REMOVE your current “JNS_Tracks\TrackName” folder and any HAT files that may be in your "rFactor\userdata\log\hat" folder. Now you can install this track by extracting the exe file from the downloaded zip file to a temp location on your system and double-click on it. Make any corrections that may be needed to the default game location shown (C:\Program Files\rFactor\) and click the unzip button.

That’s it, now can fire up the game and go racing.

JNSRedball Raceway 2008

By Joe Evans - Tuesday January 29 2008 - 19:27:01
This track release includes a 2007 and 2008 edition tracks. The main difference between the 2007 and 2008 tracks is in the tracks physics, grip, tire heat and wear.  Either set of tracks can be used with any mods but results could be quite different, I suggest trying the different track sets and use what works best for you. It is recommended using the 2007 edition with older mods (sce v.98, NSS and so forth), the 2008 edition is intended for sce v.99.

Currently the 2008 tracks included in this release are the only tracks that are made by us to work with SCE .99 and beyond. All future track releases will contain a 2007 and 2008 editions.

Single Tracks Added

I have added all of the single tracks included in the track pack to our download area. These tracks are compatible with most past mods and SCE 99 and beyond.
