JNSTexas Speedway Updated

By Joe Evans - Monday March 31 2008 - 14:56:32
This is a completely updated JNSTexas track to replace the one included in the track pack. This track will be added to the Track Pack patch due out soon. Until then you can download this track and install it, it will replace the older track. This track now includes 3 grooves to allow a better racing experience.

These tracks should be considered fictional as they do not exactly duplicate any real world tracks. They can be substituted for real world tracks that these closely resemble.

In order to remain compatible with rFactor mods made before 2008 we had to use a different folder structure. Once the tracks are installed and you start the game you will now see a “2007 JNS Tracks” and a “2008 JNS Tracks” categories listed in your track list. Expand the category you need and all of the tracks in that category will show up. The 2007 tracks are better suited for use with the SCE .98, NSS and many other mods. The 2008 tracks are designed to be used with the SCE .99 and beyond.

The main difference between the 2007 and 2008 tracks is in the tracks physics, grip, tire heat and wear.  Either set of tracks can be used with any mods but results could be quite different, I suggest trying the different track sets and use what works best for you.In order to install these tracks and avoid conflicts with my older tracks you will need to REMOVE your current “JNS_Tracks\TrackName” folder and any HAT files that may be in your "rFactor\userdata\log\hat" folder. Now you can install this track by extracting the exe file from the downloaded zip file to a temp location on your system and double-click on it. Make any corrections that may be needed to the default game location shown (C:\Program Files\rFactor\) and click the unzip button.

That’s it, now can fire up the game and go racing.

JNSRedball Raceway 2008

By Joe Evans - Tuesday January 29 2008 - 19:27:01
This track release includes a 2007 and 2008 edition tracks. The main difference between the 2007 and 2008 tracks is in the tracks physics, grip, tire heat and wear.  Either set of tracks can be used with any mods but results could be quite different, I suggest trying the different track sets and use what works best for you. It is recommended using the 2007 edition with older mods (sce v.98, NSS and so forth), the 2008 edition is intended for sce v.99.

Currently the 2008 tracks included in this release are the only tracks that are made by us to work with SCE .99 and beyond. All future track releases will contain a 2007 and 2008 editions.
